Sources have told News18 that there won’t be any change of guard in Haryana, which means Saini will continue as the state’s Chief Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called up Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) went on to scripting history in the state by winning the Assembly Elections for the third consecutive time. PM Modi congratulated Saini for the party’s victory ad also for his stellar performance on the Ladwa constituency.
Meanwhile, Saini gave credit to PM Modi for the BJP’s win in Haryana. “I would like to thank everyone, the credit for our win goes to PM Modi. I would also like to thank our leaders and workers for this historic win,” Saini said as BJP was leading on over 50 seats in Haryana.
Sources have told News18 that there won’t be any change of guard in Haryana, which means Saini will continue as the state’s Chief Minister.
Former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, too, thanked the people of Haryana for their mandate. “The people of Haryana have given the mandate, the people have voted for BJP. I would like to thank the people of Haryana for their support,” Khattar said.
When asked about the allegations by Congress on slow counting of votes in Haryana, Khattar said, “The people of Haryana have given their reply to them.”
“We are seeing the results ‘Ek Modi sab par Bhaari’. The people of Haryana have made him (Rahul Gandhi) learn a lesson. They trusted PM Modi and not the statements of Rahul Gandhi. All the farmers and wrestlers are with us,” Union Minister Giriraj Singh said.
‘We Defeated Congress in J&K Too’
While the BJP was on its way to win the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024, the party was also leading on 29 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, its best ever in the Union Territory.
“We have defeated the Congress party in J&K also. They are nowhere near in front of the BJP. He (Rahul Gandhi) supported Farooq Abdullah,” Giriraj Singh said.
BJP leader Ra Madhav posted on X (previously Twitter), “Great day for BJP. Written off by pollsters in both Haryana and J&K, the party made a splendid come back in both states on the strength of PM Modi’s good governance-focused leadership, diligent planning by party leadership at the centre and states, and most importantly the untiring hardworking of the karyakartas. Greatest story of the day is the march towards a resounding victory in Haryana. Hearty congratulations to the party leadership and cadre.”
“In Jammu, our cadres ensured a great victory winning highest ever number of seats. Congratulations to NC for a big win in Kashmir while the piggybacked partner drew almost 0 in Jammu. Salute to the people for a memorable mandate,” Madhav posted.
